IICO:Conference on" Partnership and Information Sharing for Better Humanitarian Action "|11 September,2012

(KUNA) - The Director General of the International Islamic Charitable Organization Dr.Sulaiman Shamsuddin expressed his pride of the organization which has been working as an international charity organization in the field of international humanitarian and charity work since more than 27 years and its projects are spread worldwide in more than 127 countries.

Active role
Dr. Shamsuddin added the IICO plays an active role in the relief work and in providing care and support for the afflicted, adding that the conference aims mainly to unify the efforts and support of the stakeholders in the field of humanitarian and relief work.

The head of the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Gulf, Khalid Khalifa said the conference will be held for the third consecutive year in the Arabian Gulf region, and stems from our awareness of the importance of dialogue and coordination with humanitarian organizations working in the relief field, whether public or private, to unite efforts and services provided to those affected in the countries of the world.
